The first widely available release of single malt from good folks at the Connnacht Distillery in Ballina. This has been aged in ex-Bourbon barrels and then finished in ex-Sherry casks with a total maturation time of four years. Great served on its own or as a base for classic whiskey cocktails.
Raisins and dried fruits, followed by a honey sweetness with notes of fudge and butterscotch with an almond nuttiness and hints of star anise on the nose.
Vanilla and spices compliment notes of dried fruits and malt on the palate. The finish is warming and full bodied with lingering walnuts and honey.
