Hinch 5 year old Double Wood is a blend of 20% Single Malt/80% Single Grain. Initially matured for 4 years in ex-Bourbon Casks with a second maturation in taking place in Virgin American Oak Barrels for a minimum of one year. This second maturation gives the whiskey subtle depth, natural colour and character that befits the use of term “two woods”.
Distinct citrus fruit on the nose. On the palate are Big Spice and mocha notes matched with a fruit undercurrent. Medium finish dominated by wood and spice.
