Mikkeller San Diego Humle Nørd California-style DIPA

With each edition of the rotating ‘Humle Nørd’ DIPA series, they get the opportunity to try out new ingredients and different brewing techniques. This year, they are introducing more dynamic brewing approaches to each release!
The July release was inspired by the crazy delicious CA-style IPAs of Southern California, which are characterized by a medium-light body, crisp & clean malt flavours, and explosive hop aromatics, all wrapped up in a dry, moderately bitter little quaff.
Grapefruit peel, lemon/lime spritz, and pine resin dominate the aroma, while a soft tropical fruit beginning and mid-palate transition near seamlessly into a crunchy bitterness and doughy Pilsner-malt finish. Cold and crazy tasty yo!
