At our shop, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to protecting our planet for future generations, and we’re taking steps every day to reduce our environmental impact.
Our commitment to sustainability is evident in all areas of our business, from our sourcing practices to our packaging and delivery methods. We’re proud to be a small business that’s making a difference.
Here are just a few of the ways we’re reducing our environmental impact:
- Upcycling: During our shop renovation, we upcycled our existing and outdated shelves using scaffolding planks. This gave new life to materials that would have otherwise been discarded, reducing waste and saving resources.
- Reused Packaging: We’ve embraced sustainability by investing in a cardboard shredder, transforming used boxes into valuable packing material. Every order is packaged using this recycled material, further reducing waste.
- Reduced waste: We partnered with 2GoCup in 2023 to offer people an alternative to single-use coffee cups. We encourage our customers to bring their own reusable cups or borrow one from our collection. This helps us to reduce our waste and protect our environment.
- Recyclable packaging: We only use recycled or recyclable materials for all our gifting and packaging. This means that our products can be easily and responsibly discarded, minimizing their environmental footprint.
- Single-use coffee cup elimination: We aim to be single-use coffee cup free by the end of March 2024. This will further reduce our environmental impact and demonstrate our commitment to sustainability.
- Sustainable deliveries: We’ve invested in an electric van for deliveries and transport. This reduces our reliance on fossil fuels and helps us to minimize our carbon footprint.
- Sustainable partners: We source our products from local, ethical suppliers and service providers who share our commitment to sustainability. This ensures that our products are produced responsibly and with minimal environmental impact.
We’re always looking for new ways to reduce our environmental impact, and we’re committed to making a positive difference for the planet.
We encourage our customers to join us on this journey by bringing their own reusable bags, cups, and water bottles. These small actions can make a big difference over time.
Together, we can create a more sustainable future for our planet.
