Casa Aurora La Nave

A soulful red wine from the Bierzo Alto region of Spain, Casa Aurora La Nave is an homage to winemaker Germán R. Blanco's great-grandmother. Crafted from a blend of approximately 90% Mencía with Garnacha Tintorera and Palomino from 74-year-old vines, it is grown on high-altitude, iron-rich clay soils. This vegan-friendly wine is aged for 13 months in a variety of vessels, including French oak barrels and amphorae, resulting in a vibrant, medium-bodied profile with aromas of tart cherries, blackberries, and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it offers fresh acidity, silky tannins, and a long, spicy finish. Ideal for pairing with grilled lamb, roast pork, or mushroom risotto.
