Chateau La Valiere Medoc 2019

The estate sits on the historical vineyard of Castillon-de-Medoc, a historic site of French victory in the 100 Years War. The terroir of Chateau la Valiere, a Medoc Cru Bourgeois, is deep gravel soil with 30 year old vines. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and vats.  A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot the wine is fruity and elegant with notes of blueberry, blackberry and strawberry with hints of violets, coffee and vanilla. Concentrated and well balanced with fine round tannins and good texture, toast and subtle oaky notes on the finish. Great paired with mature cheese, beef stew or grilled vegetable dishes.
