Decoy Chardonnay
A vibrant, fruit-forward Chardonnay from Decoy’s cool-climate vineyards across Sonoma, Mendocino, and the Central Coast. Aged in French oak with partial malolactic fermentation, this wine balances freshness with creamy depth.
Appearance: Medium lemon-green with golden highlights.
Nose: Aromas of sweet mandarin, white peach, and honeysuckle, layered with hints of brioche, vanilla, and butterscotch.
Palate: Juicy and expressive. Tropical fruit—pineapple, passion fruit, and lychee—meets citrus zest and a touch of oak spice. The texture is smooth and rounded, with crisp acidity and a long, creamy finish.
Vinification: 100% Chardonnay. Aged 8 months in 30% new French oak, with 30% undergoing malolactic fermentation for added richness.
Pairing: A versatile match for halibut, seafood pasta, or creamy chicken dishes. Also excellent with aged Gouda, Manchego, or grilled vegetables.
