Diamantopetra White
The Diamantakis winery was only founded in 2007 but has quickly become a hit having scooped multiple awards for their wines, most notably this blend of 50% Assytriko and 50% Vidiano.
The wine is pale lemon in colour, with pronounced aromas of ripe stone fruit, tropical fruits and floral notes like chamomile. The oak ageing process in French and American cask helps to add more complexity, roundness and structure to the wine. Aromas of vanilla, toast, pop-corn, dairy and brioche are also present. The wine is dry, with a fresh acidity and full bodied with a creamy and oily texture. It has a long finish and potential for ageing.
