Domaine des Brosses Quincy
This pale yellow wine with golden hues has intense aromas of grapefruit and citrus. On the palate, it is fresh with wonderful flavors of exotic fruit and a balanced finish. Pair with seafood, shellfish, goat cheese, and grilled vegetables or a surprisingly good match with a traditional Christmas dinner.
Quincy is the first appellation created in the Loire, the second in France, and is located just southwest of Sancerre. It has similar soil and climate to Sancerre, which allows the grapes to reach maturity early on. The Girard family modernized the winery and 11-hectare vineyards when they bought the estate in 1973. Nicolas Girard has now taken over his father's estate and, together with his brother Anthony, is making wines that are fresh, modern, and aromatic.
The Domaine Des Brosses Quincy is a perfect example of the Girard family's commitment to quality and tradition. It is a delicious and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc that is sure to please any wine lover.
