Dorigo Cabernet Franc
A distinctive Friulian take on Cabernet Franc, grown on the mineral-rich slopes of Premariacco. Dorigo’s meticulous approach yields a wine that’s both expressive and refined, with a spicy Mediterranean twist.
Appearance: Ruby red with youthful clarity.
Nose: Warm and spicy. Aromas of balsamic herbs, fresh liquorice, and radish mingle with subtle grassy notes and a touch of leather.
Palate: Soft and mouthfilling. Red fruit—cherry, strawberry, and cranberry—layer over liquorice, medicinal herbs, and a whisper of tobacco. The finish is warm, lingering, and gently earthy.
Vinification: Hand-harvested in mid-September. Bunches selected one by one, fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperature. Aged 8 months in second-passage French oak barrels with full malolactic fermentation.
Pairing: A versatile choice for cold cuts, terrines, roast green vegetables, or grilled sausages. Also pairs beautifully with aged cheeses and mushroom dishes.
