Fritz Haag Riesling Trocken
A bright, dry Riesling from steep slate vineyards in Brauneberg and Mühlheim. This is Fritz Haag’s entry-level expression, showcasing the estate’s hallmark elegance, minerality, and precision.
Appearance: Pale straw with green reflections.
Nose: Fresh and inviting. Aromas of Granny Smith apple, grapefruit zest, and white peach mingle with light herbal notes and a hint of flint.
Palate: Crisp and mouthwatering. Tart lime and stony minerality lead, followed by green apple, ginger, and a touch of white pepper. The texture is delicate yet vibrant, with brisk acidity and a dry, refreshing finish.
Vinification: Hand-harvested from steep slopes. Gentle pressing, sedimentation clarification, no fining agents. Aged on lees in stainless steel, bottled in March.
Pairing: A natural match for shellfish, sushi, or light salads. Also excellent with Bouillabaisse or grilled vegetables.
