Joh. Jos. Prüm Bernkasteler Badstube Kabinett
The vineyards of the Bernkasteler Badstube border on those of the Graacher Himmelreich. These vineyards are south-south-west facing, and slightly less steep than the Graacher Himmelreich ones. This results in less sun in the morning and more sun in the evenings. The slope gradient is 21.8-26 degrees with an elevation of 150 to 325 metres. JJ Prum is one of two growers who works in this Grosse Lage area. The wines are usually slightly lighter in taste than the others from JJ Prum.
Joh. Jos. Prüm Bernkasteler Badstube Kabinett is a classic Mosel Riesling that beautifully captures the estate’s signature style—delicate, aromatic, and finely balanced.
In the glass, it typically shows white peach, green apple, and citrus blossom, with hints of slate minerality and a whisper of petrol as it ages. The palate is light-bodied and just off-dry, with crisp acidity that keeps the sweetness in perfect check. Expect a clean, refreshing finish that lingers with notes of lime zest and wet stone.
It’s a wine that evolves gracefully over time, gaining complexity while retaining its elegance.
