Le Potazzine Brunello di Montalcino 2018
La Potazzine makes wines that are the true and genuine expression of the terroir and vintage to enjoy now and for decades to come. They follow the Montalcino tradition of reflecting the elegance of the pure Sangiovese grape through long spontaneous fermentation using only native yeast and aging for 40 months in Slavonian oak.
Two distinct vineyard plots owned by La Potazzine: Le Prata, facing south-west at an altitude above sea level of 507 meters and La Torre with a south-east exposure at 420 asl., which, after being fermented and aged individually, come to the bottle in a single solution.
The nose is already a perfect equilibrium between fruity and floral scents, with the dark berries combining with gardenia and violet. On the palate it is very juicy and savoury, well-defined by spicy notes and red cherry aromas. Beautiful right now but able to be cellared up to 2040
