Lustau Vermut Rojo
A harmonious and complex union of sherry wines and botanicals. Mahogany in colour with reddish glints. Sweet aromas of ripe fruit are laced with citric and herbal notes over a smoky wood background. On the palate it is silky with well-balanced sweetness. A hint of bitterness on the finish adds to the complexity which is delicately accompanied by a distinctive nutty aftertaste.
What is a Red Vermouth?
It is a fortified wine that has been aromatised with a range of botanicals. It is also known as sweet vermouth/vermouth rosso/vermut rojo due to its colour or as Italian vermouth due to its origin. Today, sweet vermouths aren't just limited to Italy - like this one from Jerez in Spain!
