The Magoutes winery sits in the rugged, mountainous area of northwestern Macedonia in the Naoussa appellation which is famous for its Xinomavro, a highly versatile grape. Cultivation is organic and all vineyard and cellar work is artisanal. The climate of the area is superb for growers and winemakers who favour a “hands-off” approach. . Low intervention winemaking features spontaneous fermentations, with no enzymes,
clarifiers or other manipulations, so that the vines can express the natural characters of their specific varieties and terroirs.

This wine has a fresh and complex bouquet of red and black fruits with floral notes and sweet, spiced nuances. The wine is dry, medium bodied with fine grained and ripe tannins and very long and fresh finish.
