Rutherford Ranch Chardonnay

Rutherford's winemaking team crafts elegant, varietally-true wines with fruit from the two estate vineyards and select vineyards sites throughout the valley. Selecting fruit from both cooler and warmer sites combined the winemakers create wines with an unequaled palate of flavor and character and quality.

This Chardonnay has comforting notes of baked apple pie with toasted oak notes of caramel and spice. It opens up to reveal mineral and fruity aromas including ripe Asian pear, dried apricot and white peach. A full-bodied wine with bright acidity, suffusing oak flavours show as vanilla and sweet-oak through to the palate. Finishes with a hint of lemon meringue pie.

This is a deliciously versatile wine. Enjoy as an aperitif or pair with chicken and grilled fish, creamy vegetable soups or a selection of your favourite cheeses.
