Tokara Reserve Syrah

This wine 100% Shiraz from a single block made up of 2 clones, which makes it a very expressive Syrah. This block is located on the Tokara farm on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain just outside of Stellenbosch.

Edged with dark ruby, the crimson colour is deeply concentrated. Aromas of fresh prunes, blueberries and blackberries give way to an evocative perfume of vanilla, violets and white pepper spice. Every sip bursts with rich, dark fruit flavours that are deftly underpinned by notes of dried herbs. The silky texture and spicy tannins linger for an eternity.

Food pairing: Grilled lamb cutlets with rosemary, venison stew or suckling pig.
