Volandera, La Calandria Pura Garnacha
La Calandria Pura Garnacha is a project created by Luis Remacha and Javier Continente, who started their journey in 2008. They bought an old vineyard in Cintruénigo and little by little they have acquired more Grenache vineyards in the surroundings to make fresh wines from this variety in the south area of Navarre and also in the area of Tierga, in Aragón. Volandera comes from a vineyard located in Cintruénigo, planted more than 60 years ago on clay soils. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel deposits with indigenous yeasts. Medium to full-bodied, this delicious wine is brimming with fresh raspberry and strawberry fruits. It is big enough to take on red meats yet delicate enough to go well with pork, chicken and grilled Mediterranean vegetables.
